Stock market A to Z If you invest 2 crores in shares it may become one crore within six months You can wait another 6 months for further appreciation/deoreciation <><><><><><><><><><><> A to Z of share market or stock market +++++====++++++======= We hear about vegetable market , fish market , marriage market etc It was in 1972 or so I had a little amount saved and held in my Bank account . My eldest brother who was in Madras used to be aware of share markets and there was a Stock exchange in Madras .As recommended by him I bought 200 shares of Ashok Leyland at Rs 7 and later sold it at a profit Today while I was during my morning walk I saw many buses manufactured by Ashok Leyland and felt I was part of owner of this company Those days shares used to be in physical form and you need to get it transferred in your name after you buy in market with the help of a transfer deed These are equity shares of a limited company with face value of Rs 10 or so and later gets quoted at higher or lower rates In share market you can buy or sell for delivery or do intraday trading and lose money or gain a little . We hear terms like Public issue , Initial public issue , Debentures, Mutual funds etc all connected with shares Also there are terms like profit booking , dividend , bonus share , buy back of shares , split shares etc listing shares , delisting shares Also we hear bull, bear , crash in the market In Indian markets they have the Sensex / Nifty etc indicating strength of market movements These markets function all over the world like Nasdaqe in USA etc fluctuating daily due to various reasons It is difficult if ordinary people can make money in the market as the market prices are subject to fluctuation through various means like insider trading , lobbying etc We have futures and options , derivatives , equity trading etc in stock markets Over a number of years having bought and sold a few shares now feel engaged seeing share market daily with no scope of investment or desire for wealth creation Some shares held and sold Hindustan unilever Ltd , ITC, Titan Industries, Carborundum Universal Ltd , Pfizer ,Glaxo , Cipla , Wipro , Infosys , TCS etc etc many many ... Incidentally I was thinking buying some one hundred shares of Zomato recently to achieve my desire of holding shares from A to Z While I was in USA I used to see Tesla cars and imagine the persons who held shares of Tesla in American Markets I shall write more about share markets if clients like you approach and charge a small brokerage Incidentally I may state shares are held in demat form now and you can buy or sell even one share as against we had marketable lots previously Now the market is open at 9.30 AM daily upto 3.30 PM and one can trade online buying or selling etc Thank you
