Walking or talking ....choose the better one....

I have developed the habit of walking from my childhood....I recollect my walking from house to Vivekodayam High School,Trichur until 7 th standard, upto 1960 .. later to Seshadripuram High School,St Joseph's College,Bangalore as a College Student.....later while in service in Bank of India in many places..This was in addition to my walking with my parents, sistets, brothers,,manni, etc to Malleswaram from Guttahalli etc during childhood regularly ...Since it was a free item perhaps I chose it.After marriage while walking with spouse,it was found she walked very slowly ,I had to turn back often and she was still slow. That is old story. Now her speed has retarded.
Later after marriage in 1974 , in addition to walking talking also found an important place in our agenda , when my spouse who is vociferous and talks much gave me partnership.Incidentally I avoid talking to anyone over telephone but I hand over the phone to my spouse when there is a call from our son, daughter and others...or her mother. She talks to them for minimum half an hour daily. With that her time available for walking or walk is found insufficient and part of her quota for day's talking filled up .
Now during our visits to USA since 2007 ...we were asked to go for walk daily in places like Salem MA,Marblehead.MA,Nebraska,Hazard KY,Austin. Texas,Fremont or Santa Clara CA....being medical requirements advised for us.But during such combined walk it was stipulated as no talking between us lest it would culminate in arguments ,fights etc in public
Now during our recent visit since July 2016 while in Fremont CA...she is free...in the morning I go for walk and she goes in the evening...She goes in a route covering concentric circles while I go on straight parallel roads and the circumference of her circular path being always less than length of my long walks.
I read somewhere benefits of walking and talking.....I chose walking she grabbed walking and talking....got the double benefit...
May be walking is required and talking also needed to survive as seen from below....

You have heard it before: Moderate physical exercise helps prevent and reduce the severity of chronic disease, such as high blood pressure and diabetes, and also improves mood and mobility. Walking — a form of exercise that is accessible to almost everyone and doesn’t require special equipment or attire (other than comfortable shoes) — counts as moderate physical exercise.
How a talking or talking therapy can help
Sometimes it's easier to talk to a stranger than to relatives or friends. During talking therapy, a trained counsellor or therapist listens to you and helps you find your own answers to problems, without judging you.
The therapist will give you time to talk, cry, shout or just think. It's an opportunity to look at your problems in a different way with someone who will respect you and your opinions.
Usually, you'll talk one-to-one with the therapist. Sometimes talking treatments are held in groups or couples, such as relationship counselling.
Although there are lots of different types of talking therapy, they all have a similar aim: to help you feel better. Some people say that talking therapies don't make their problems go away, but they find it easier to cope with them and feel happier.

Talking To Yourself Is Healthy. Some people jokingly say they talk to themselves because they are the only ones who will listen. Yet it's no joke that talking to yourself is healthy, according to a new study, and it's good for adults as well as children.
