Change of Doctor……reduction in
medicine and increase in fees…

Being senior citizens we get some
benefits under Income Tax or traveling by train or standing in some line .etc...…Of
course being senior in age , we are also privileged to visit physicians periodically.
We shifted to Thiruvanmiyur Chennai in 2010 from Mylapore area and immediately saw that there
was a Physician nearby our house and a few Medical stores also .Our new physician who is a good person used to charge us
reasonably like Rs 100 per visit plus charges for BP, Sugar, Weight etc Rs 70 every time and would prescribe some essential medicines of
strength 4X and some new Vitamins, Calcium , Protein-- tablets, Mind Strengthening tablets, etc all found available
in his clinic kept behind, The Medicine cost used to be 4
times his fees but since he was having his shop where only you get his prescribed extra medicines we were compelled
to buy all these from his shop getting him total profit.
Last month he shifted his clinic to
OMR..Old Mahabalipuram Rd… about 5 KM away from us. Here the clinic used to be
after 1 PM up to 3 PM or night after 9 PM being convenient to us.
After his shifting we searched for another
Physician near our surroundings.. Finally we found out another Doctor meeting
our needs… visiting a Hospital nearby regularly. He was nice although we have
to wait for sometime..He looked at our current prescriptions and reduced all medicines
by around 75 percent thereby cost per month was reduced. But his fees per head
he charged Rs 300 thereby adjusting the total cost resulting in gain to him.
My wife was telling our daughter in
USA today that our new Doctor reduced all medicines but increased his fees. She
didn’t say anything but asked us to follow food, diet, exercise and take medicines
regularly.
We have to see the results of our diagnostic tests after taking these reduced medicine for 3 months
