I did not like to marry a graduate.....

I hear the following nephew and nieces of my non graduate wife Brindhalakshmi  getting graduated in May 2018 in USA.

Harish Babu son of Arunachalam...PhD....Texas university at Dallas in May 2018

Srilakshmi  daughter of Balakrishnan ..MS Bimmanghton University of New York in May 2018

Varsha daughter of Ananthanarayanan MS ..Bimmanghton university in May 2018

Saraswathi Hathikal sister in law of Harish getting her MS from Bhimmanghton university.

The other day my granddaughter Poorvi was telling about her Graduation from Kindergarten School ...Appleseed school ...Santa Clara CA..due in May end 2018.I USA they have graduation event at each grade of school from Kindergarten to Post Doctorate.

I was recollecting to my memory  how I married my wife BRINDHALAKSHMI  in 1974 who was not a graduate.I recall I got promotion as Officer in Bank one month after marrying her ...May be she was lucky to have an Officer husband whom she could manage later.

While I was working in Bank of  India Bangalore since 1968 , my father was particular I got married as decided by him and my mother.May be he was suspicious that I would love someone in the Office and marry without their consent Incidentally there were many offers from my seniors in Office for their daughters as they found bright future in me a Graduate in Science .Those days a University Graduate was considered a person with bright future...Engineering,Medical or Computer graduates or Chartered Accountants were less and commanded higher market value.

It was informed to me that one good girl a double graduate with a Law degree working in a  Bank was ready in the list as inquired by her father some Saptharishi who was a Criminal Advocate in Bangalore or so .Initially I was attracted at the offer, later I analyzed and foresaw that the matching may not work. It was suggested by the Girl's father I could join his Law firm and me and his daughter could work as juniors. But I thought it might not work as she may get separated or I may leave her being the result of both being argumentative.Of course there would be no love between the lawyers or liars as they are called .

Of course I had desired to marry my neighbor cumulative relative's daughter Bhanu who was a drop out from school but was innocent and used to see my mother in her.It did not materialize. In Bank where I worked I did not make any attempt ...although there were young and responsible girls available.

Of course I had agreed marrying any good girl ..So my father got me the present wife ..not a university graduate but a little more than that.I had once reported about her. She cooks well, talks well and fights with all and generally not obedient ...These qualities I consider enough to treat her as a Graduate  and I recognize it.. but am sure these are hidden characters of women we are unable to test and find out before marriage...She was from a village Andipatti...Madurai .Tamilnadu ..had finished her SSLC and become a major reaching the age of eighteen... at the time of marriage ...and perhaps agreed marrying a dark person like me being a graduate and staying in a city like Bangalore.

Of course my opinion about not marrying a Graduate was that being a Graduate she would question me for any action .Again if she were earning she would not respect me or care me .As against this a non graduate would know less but would bring up the family, take care of the family etc.  This is a real story. My only specifications were ...she should be lean,fair,good-looking , not wearing glasses, curly haired, homecoming and knowing cooking and obeying elders and me .She satisfied the requirements. Of course we got our horoscopes compared and found matching...That was how I did not marry a Graduate or Double Graduate.

Of course I console myself realizing matches and marriages are held in heaven and so what to do?

This is the black and white photo of my wife Brindhalakshmi her parents sent to my parents to approve. By comparison she appeared of white complexion and I was and am black in color.
