My preference for colors………Karuppu dhan enakku pidicha coloru….

I have been very adamant and audacious in many matters including selection of color. Incidentally I remember either for my birthday, wife’s birthday, marriage functions of son and daughter, Deepavali, Onam, Pongal etc I used to be offered new cloths expected to be worn by a decent and elderly person. In addition I used to get offer for mayilkannu veshti, safari suit, regular executive suit, etc,,,,But I was  very adamant and used to prefer some T shirts  with colors such as black, red,  green  …these colors perhaps were mismatch or wrong match for my dark color..I also insist on getting some Malayali lungis instead of Panchgacham veshti,etc,,,and my relatives did not bother much s they felt it was good to have such a person who is frugal an doesn’t spend on cloths.. But my wife liked all designs, fashion and traditional madisaru pudavai for all functions.

Before my marriage also I had told my father to  select  a dark   home loving  and obedient  girl  from South India for me so that we match well but somehow he got me a girl  from Tamilnadu known to  one of his contemporaries in Bangalore of a girl who was a little better than dark. Matches and marriages are decided or held in Heaven they say..

I also used these lines sung by Anuradha Sriram and sing in the house now and then  feel  happy  when the wife was not in the house…….the contents of the song are real.

I have read black is the opposite of white. Black absorbs more heat. A black object absorbs all wavelengths of light and reflects none.White color absorbs all wavelengths of light and absorb the least   heat…

I do not know if all these rules or principles or properties of nature  of Physics affect me,

During my thinking time,  I dream I too should have discovered some effects like Raman Effect where when light passes through a change in wavelength exhibited by some of the radiation scattered in a medium. The effect is specific to the molecules which cause it and thus useful in spectroscopic analysis…

Ammachi cutting vegetables and fruits in America....

We   get  all   types  of vegetables   and fruits  in USA  and most of them we get and use in India . Also many vegetables are grown in  our houses  as we have seen at Hazard KY where my brother  Dr Narayan stays...they grow green chillies, brinjal,ladies finger, tomato, peerkankai,  beans,apple, etc in large quantities. in Fremont CA    where our son Rajesh stays..they have all fruits almond, cashewnut, apples, plum,grapes, mango,etc large number of flowers of rose variety,and in Marblehead Salem MA where our daughter Chitra lives they have apples, brinjal, tomato,  greens , and pumpkin  white and yellow ... also  grown regularly in their backyards, and in New Jersey where our Sudha stays and Tulsa where Sridhar stays...they too have all fruits  and lemon.. narthangai, etc in large quantities.Our daughter Chitra during her Medical Residency at Omaha, Nebraska used to say the state being largely agriculture based with  mechanical tools for plouging,watering,removing,and corns,beans,sugarcane are main crops grown there. 

 Tartaric acid, Citirc acid, Oxalic Acid, Malic Acid, Ascorbic Acid,Picric acid ,salicyclic acids, and others are found in fruits.Many of the fruits contain fructose which maynot be good for diabetics  but there are fruits contanining less of sugar  and others containing less salt or Sodium chloride etc...which we have to choose as  per needs or body restrictions.Banana fruut contains Potassium but also fructose...so it is  to be decided for consumption for people having bloodsugar level,cholesterol problems ..hypertension etc. Mango fruit contains maximum sugar  content as also date fruit which diabetics should  avoid..Pappaya and koyyappazham are generally preferred for diabetics containing less fructose  but with a little energy, proteins etc..

Some vegetables nuts are  alkaline  like Almond,artichoke, asparagus, avacadoe,Basil, beetroot,broccoli, brussel sprouts,cabbages, carrot,cauliflower celery,cilantro, cocoanut, cumin,eggplant,Garlic, Ginger, green beans, grapefruit,etc

They may not be acidic also, so that you can get body pH levels alkaline  by  taking many above alkaline foods.

In particular we saee in America   vegetables are are of  huge or large sizes when compared the obes we see in India..and neatly packed in polythene bags after cutting,peeling,washing,etc..

Mostly vegetables and fruits are  received from neighbouring countries...orange,apple, are largely grown in US also.

Okra,egg plant,  etc..are some names...commonly heard.

It is a good experience to see such large number of vegetables fruits etc in USA  and use them...Some of the rare vegetables like Avacado, brussels,etc are very good for health...which we donot get in plenty in India .We see them fresh and neatly packed and any vegetable spoiled  and found unusable is thrown out  and neither sold nor used by any.

In India also we  grow and get a large number of vegetables, greens etc having medicinal properties and we should make use of them as remedy provided by nature or God for our health problems.

There are many herbal preparations as oil,lehyam,kashayam etc as medicines in Ayurveda using herbs and roots of plant used for medical treatment relating to brain or Central nervous system,. called.... Mental disorder/ illness, psychological disorders, psychiatric disorders,etc  and these herbal medicines are found effective....

So nature is abundant with all human needs for existence and survival...

Cutting vegetables is an art or talent  generally  entrusted to the oldest lady in the house  who takes care of   choosing and cutting them so that the sides are neattly peeled, skin removed, internal seads thrown out, pieces are made small in geometric sizes, washed again in  water before using etc.  and AMMA was given that work in addition to cooking,  supervising and tasting the final products...

Samsung..cellphone with my wife..... Used rarely...

I was having this Samsung cellphone having not many features...you can telephone to any number receive calls,hear FM music etc

Last year when I went to USA my son in law got me a Motorola X Smartphone... With more features. .It serves as a handy computer.... Plus phone... Mainly I get it connected through Wi Fi  Modem connected to landline for internet purposes I am able to use Facebook read newspapers,see grandchildren  children, etc through Skype ...watch stock exchange movements through Rediff, Economic Times,,read blogs,write blogs,etc I am also able to use the messenger for sending messages and receive SMS ,etc .but I donot use it for seeing videos, U Tubes, etc The complaint from my wife is that I donot do any productive work instead am always busy with the smartphone...She even objects my using it as a camera or use WhatsApp through it.  See the plight......Of course when she wants auto or taxi, she asks me to use Ola App and Amazon App  for buying some book,etc through the phone. .

My old phone Samsung I gave  her for use  She  does not  know how to charge it from mains or get credit by paying Vodafone dealer She has some hundred numbers saved in it as contacts..mostly her relatives and none of them ever call her or my number.but she calls all of them regularly for broadcasting all news Even that I have saved in the phone. She does not know even the telephone number of the cellphone... I have saved it as My number in the phone... She is not much familiar with cellphone or computer operations...despite my teaching her so many things orally......

She goes out to Mylapore, T Nagar,Adyar etc and I give the phone to her I have taught her how to receive calls After she goes out,I telephone say after one hour to find out where she is..and to tell her I am making coffee with decoction  she has kept  saved or for eating any fruits available till she returns. she responds..and thus the phone is useful between us for communication and sanction or approval...But she will never telephone to my number and inform me where she is...When some call comes in my phone she takes it does not swipe or click answer properly and the line gets disconnected.What can I do?

So this is how the cellphone is useful between us..

This is her phone... my gift to her....she doesn't like any music and doesnot use the FM Radio ,alarm,games, calculator, etc....as they are not relevant to her...

Deduction for donations made  under section  80G of Income Tax Act,1961

Preventive Health care  expenses,, Medical Insurance premium if paid, Registration charges for landed property if any bought, etc. under section 80 C,

Slabs for Women,  senior Citizen above 60 Years and others above 80 Years etc…

And I Tax credit Rs 2000 for Income up to 5 lacs   etc and also the need for e filing if the income exceeds 5 lacs and if you have any refunds etc. and explained what is PAN….which she uses as identity while travelling in train..Etc

Various   IT rates 10% upto. Income  5 lacs, 20% upto 10  lakhs,30% above,etc for individuals. .

Surcharge @10% of I tax...for income over 1crore,

Cess @3%...on total income including surcharge...

Incidentally I told her I have placed order for a book…

Income Tax guide for the Tax payer… Financial year 2015-2016 by Ram Nivas Lakhotia

Through Amazon and said the book will be delivered by 17^th    at home Thiruvanmiyur   against cash payment of Rs 199 that is below Rs 200

I told her if the delivery person comes and asks for signature and Rs 199 for the cost of book…  please pay the amount....she retorted immediately…

  “””You are getting same Income Tax books three  times  every year…why do  you want it now…???””

She would have confused it with the Bank’s journal Tharangan received free now and then,,,,,or one Malayalam monthly Shruthivani which she cannot read.  

I told her this is the last one please pay the amount when I am not at home…and receive the book…

She kept silent..

I have to wait and see if she takes delivery  of the book  by making payment from her petty cash balance   or not…

This is the Financial Controller since 1974 I have at home… continuing …for this financial year…  2015_2016 also…being spouse and joint account holder….and an IT assessee

Organic, Inorganic and Periodic tables in Chemistry,

Equilibrium and Valence proper were Chetty who taught us Chemistry.


Shakespeare had authored many plays in English,

Bala played and taught us King Lear and the daughters,

Poetry rhyming ,lectures in Democracy and Individual of Allan in classes,,

Strengthened our depth of English and remember his mastery in literatures.

Silent we were in Classes of Optics in corner room,


Light was there in Sound of Prof Sivasubs classroom,

Newton’s Laws and other Physics laws of matters,

Made us learn and lead sound lives,

Differential Calculus and Equations ,.


By dynamic action in Life occasions,

Taught with ease in class along Dynamics,

Remember Prof Sundaresan of Department Maths.

Life is a rightful period of existence provided to us by God. We continue to live passing through various stages. In the process some of us encounter certain ailments, physical and mental discomforts, etc which get cured by gifts of God and through Medical treatments, etc which are available in plenty nowadays. Let us   pray God to make the whole universe disease free and also provide permanent remedies for all types of physical and mental ailments.

Advancement of science   and technology has made any sickness curable and research going on in discovering permanent solutions for producing insulin within human body without aid of medicine or eliminating occurrence of other diseases affecting the brain. There were no medicines for certain cancer like Leukemia, etc…a few years back, but are found curable now.   Similar is the case of complete eradication of Small Pox or Malaria which have also been eliminated in various countries including India. Global polio eradication   program initiated by Governments in collaboration with World Health Organization, etc are progressing well in eliminating many contagious and infectious diseases universally. I have heard  that in the past say some of my nearest relatives were victims of attacks of what  we call the present variation in Blood Sugar,Tuberculosis,etc as there were not recognized systems of   medical  diagnosis, analysis and prescription of drugs were for cure  ..Similar was the case and   vaccination for polio, etc which had not vaccines such as Triple antigen etc being now administered for children after birth. Public are required to take advice or  consultation cum advice  from General Practitioners for  availing  all immunization programs, administration of vaccines,etc in time

Let the humanity understand the need to avail the benefits of immunizations and vaccination etc for diseases like Dengue, Typhoid, Meningitis, Polio, other fevers, flu, etc, etc and avoid occurrence of such dreadful diseases to the children and elders later. Let us also take steps in avoiding mosquito bites  polluted water ,etc by keeping our surroundings clean and avoiding  surroundings   likely  to cause infectious including some fast  food ,aerated waters, ,etc and it  is also requested  not to resort to self medication and   take any medicine   under  the guidance of your Doctor,

In various blogs and websites  and Medical reports  and Health groups,etc,we are privileged to read and know much about the causes of various sickness, precautions,  short time and log time effects, precautions, advice from forums, etc, etc for guidance of the common man as well as those who are affected with such ailments, etc, They are useful for the teeming millions of population and useful for the medical profession for observing, recording and analyzing  various factors associated with such new diseases found .

 In this connection I have added in my blog…..My experiments about Meningitis, Asthma, Hypertension, etc, an autobiography …for guidance, precaution and information of humanity….Please go through the same and feel informed and benefitted..My story is one of fighting    Bacterial meningitis and survival thereof along with attendant incidents, precautions, etc as considered relevant to the subject.

The sorry narrated by me  reports the occurrence of Meningitis, symptoms, immediate action taken by relatives in referring to Medical  Profession and the timely action taken by the Physician  and  Surgeons etc and the post disease care etc  and the assistance or help rendered  by  relatives and  friends  ,Doctors,etc,  mitigating and solving  any   any   other  problems to me
