So it became necessary to take all precautions for avoiding injuries from accidents
Chitra...Rajesh...brindha group.......
It is really a pain to undergo any fall, injury, collision, fracture ,violent trauma of bones and face the consequences......but needs proper after operation care...

After facing initial difficulties following a fall and fracture of bones in knee and leg it was necessary to engage a maidservant in our house. We are just two and house over 1100 sq ft requiring sweeping, mopping the floors with cleaning solutions
, etc in addition cleaning our day today utensils..the total work time around 15 minutes a day. Other work washing our clothes, caring for toilets etc are done by ourselves ..me and wife...It was out of necessity we engaged an old lady for doing the above work. since 2013...she comes around 9 AM daily finishes the work within 15 minutes...in addition to her doing similar work in six to seven houses in the neighborhood. Of Course my spouse sweeps, cleans all the rooms before the old lady comes as she just does the work just like that ...even the utensils cleaned require a second wash and clean...Having regard to her age and he number of dependents she has..we did not bother about the quality of work.and used to pay her wages on 1st of every month. It was two days when I returned home by 9 AM after attending to some work it was informed that the maidservant met with some accident or something broke her hands or bones in hand...not known fully..but heard she had put some Puttur Bandage...Probably she couldn't go to a Orthopedist and get any surgery or bandage as done by Allopathy Doctors....considering the huge cost. I wish she becomes alright soon and resumes normal life ..of course even her coming back is not welcome. if she has physical difficulties..Of Course we are able to do our work ourselves.
In this connection I narrate some personal experiences....any of these hairline or multiple fractures take time around 6 weeks, 12 weeks depending on the type of injury. Of Course it heals faster than any sprain as the surgical procedure done does heal faster.. Again the other effects or consequences are as follows.
These are weight bearing bones or femur which would have been injured...and necessarily the strength of the weight bearing bones is directly proportional to the body weight of the person. As such any injury affects the weight bearing capacity..incapacitates normal walking...needs stretch /bandages/sling/splint ..etc or supports available in different types for restricted movements depending on the type of injury. It would be for a maximum period of 3 months..Of Course the injured comes to normalcy after some days or say 6 weeks , 8 weeks etc..With dislocation of bones, repairs of bones, growth of ligaments, growth of membranes around bones muscles surrounding ,etc regular exercise as advised by a physiotherapist would accelerate the process of the injured regaining normalcy soon. Use of wheelchairs/walking stick with adequate control systems are also available as found necessary for the convalescing victims . These are in addition to regular intake of painkillers...diclofenac, paracetamol.. Vitamin..calcium .etc tables taken when required.
Another important aspect resulting from any injury is any weakness in bone due to deficiency in calcium etc would make bones susceptible to further damage on account of any fall etc. It would be required to take a Basic calcium screening or test to determine the calcium deficiency to determine the required medication for avoiding further injuries or even osteoporosis .A visit to a specialist would be preferable to determine the correct position and take medicines.
There will be slight reduction in speed of walking of persons so injured. Also it would be slightly difficult for such persons who had injured and later cured to climb steps etc in bus train etc and a physical support from another person would be required.
Moreover, with disturbances in parts above the legs etc including the thighs it would be difficult for them to sit on floor in sitting position as bending down and sitting and getting up would be difficult.
Of Course Medical science have improved much and it would be required to go to a proper ortho , have the x ray etc done and the necessary surgery done and post surgery care followed strictly..
I just write this based on my personal experiences and the recent injury to our maid servant and other injuries others in family had...I am not a Physician or an Orthopedist...and thus would request that those who had injuries should take all proper care.Everything will be ok...
Of Course one of the accidents was a fall in a wet floor..resulting in multiple fracture..of course set right...and now normal but more care is taken in walking on wet floors, etc.
Another was an accident while travailing in an auto rickshaw..over speeding and injury in shoulder..clavicle... breaking bones...It became thus necessary to avoid by travel auto in places like Chennai..
A third was her sitting and travelling on pillion in a two wheeler . without her sitting and holding properly and falling down and pulled by vehicle for 100 feet. in Tiruchirapalli..her being having no balance resulting in injuries...loss of teeth etc.
