Konthai Periappa's comments & story

Raghavan/ Rajesh,
The write up was excellent and so too the editing. I appreciate the minute details given in the write up though not very chronologically. I wish some more anecdotes in our family be focussed and narrated. Particularly I felt the notable omission of Raghavan'sfall from Mango tree and his dramatic survival.. I have enclosed a small write up on this Ms word format. Please edit and circulate.
I will be glad if others also cover the following also
1.Narayanans admission the schoolat Bangalore His _expression of Tamil talent by reading aloud THINATHANTHI which gave him a seat. He was given 3rd division. In the evening he was rpomoted to 4th or so.Idont exactly remember.
2.Narayans cross with the examiner atMedical School and challenged to write another paper on fresh questions. and how he met the challenge
These and the like covering

Raghavans fall fom MangoTree at Punkunnam

One of the unforgettable events in Parameswarier family was he fall of Vijayaraghavan from a mango tree where he had climbed to pluck a mango on a rainy day.We had all gathered at our family as we were bereaved at the untimelydemise of Kuttan at Bombay

Sudddenly a thud was heard aloud and Lo it was Raghavan who had fallen from the tree about 30 metres in height with his forehead pointed towards ground. Immediately our opposite neighbour L.S Rajagoplanwas called for help as we were all gathering around stunned at what should be done soon. The boy had closed his eyes was almost motionless. He was picked up and a taxi was called.unfortunately taxi cannot enter the narrow lane leading to the house and he was physically carried up to the taxi a the end of the lane and admitted toTrichur govt Hospital. Thanksto the help of Kasi (son of C.R.Balan Kalyanis chittappa timely medical help was given. But unfortunately the Cheif Doctor said unless 24 hours is elasapsed nothing could be said for certain. I remember some Coramine or someother injections were given in syringes of the size of a PIPPETTE.

Immedialely the injection is given the boy will suddenly rise as a spring and rollback. Probsably a reaction for the intravenous injection. Moreover he will say uncoherent words and the last waor was always NJAN INNU MARIKKUM.This put us a;ll in great angushand anxiety. Docto rhaving said so WEi.e myself and Manni decided to go to Guruvayur and pray and return th next day. This we did and you may believe or not when we returned and went to hthe jhospital he opened his eyes and started loking around.. Doctor was called and he felt the purse , and pulse beating gathered momentum. He then DECLARED ‘ INI ONNUM PEDIKKANILLA’ meaning nothing to fear hereafter

It was a greart solace for all of us the familyfrom the double calamities that had overtaken the family

By the Grace of Lord Guruvayurappan Raghavan recovered rapidly and was discharged in about a weeekstime.
