Our visit to Hawaii Hawaii visit Visit to Honolulu Islands Hawaii Hawaii is one of the fifty states of United States of America Honolulu (// HON-ə-LOO-loo; Hawaiian: [honoˈlulu]) is the capital and most populous city of the U.S. state of Hawaii, located in the Pacific Ocean. Hawaii is typically recognized by its eight main islands: Hawaiʻi, Maui, Kahoʻolawe, Lānaʻi, Molokaʻi, Oʻahu, Kauaʻi, and Niʻihau. island of Oahu Located on the island of Oahu, "The Gathering Place," halfway between Japan and the mainland United States, Pearl Harbor will always be a welcoming place where survivors of the attack can reflect on the events that led to the war and had such a profound impact on the lives of an entire generation. It was a journey by flight from SFO to Honolulu International Airport .The flight time was 4and a half hours , good snacks to eat and coffee supplied during flight with free Wi-Fi connectivity Onward flight was in Hawaiian Airlines and return journey in Alaska Airlines The most common languages spoken in Hawaii are English, Hawaiian, and Hawaii Through your stay for about six days we could get vegetarian food Also coffee and lunch etc made at the place of stay where we could get essentials like milk , vegetables , bread, provision etc and necessary vessels and kitchen utensils were available There was good golf ground behind our rooms and the beach was nearby to reach by walking The whether was good there being hot and less humid compared to California The whole place had resemblance to Kerala state in look as there were coconut palm trees and sand beach in all places Pine apple, cocoa, was grown in abundance and it was delicious to taste pine apple ice creams there . We were allowed to travel in a train to Dole Plantation in Pineapple Express train covering various places around where pine apple and all other fruits , vegetables, etc were grown .The train accommodated around 50 persons to sit comfortably and see the plantation on both sides sitting inside . Pineapple 2008 Maize is the world’s largest Maize.The Maize stretches over 2 acres and includes nearly two and a half miles paths crafted from 14000 Hawaiian plants We walked through the maize and it was enjoyable and quite memorable There were tours to a cocoa plantation growing cocoa trees We were explained the process of extracting cocoa the ingredient of chocolate in stages and shown how the seeds were plucked from nearly trees , seeds removed , beans identified , later powdered and supplied making chocolates like Hershey etc Chocolate can be made from cocoa tree seeds in Hawaii by following these steps: 1. Ferment: Mix yeast with warm water and pour it over the seeds to start the fermentation process. The seeds are ready when the interior is tan to dark brown, juicy, and has folded cotyledons. � 2. Dry: Put the seeds in the sun or a dehydrator until they are dry and the shell breaks easily. � 3. Grind: Grind the nibs into a liquid called cocoa liquor. � 4. Combine: Combine the cocoa liquor with melted cocoa butter, table sugar, and a pinch of lecithin. � 5. Mold: Pour the chocolate into molds. � In the tour we were given samples of raw cocoa fruits , the seeds removed, beans and chocolates made at different levels of sugar content etc to be tasted It was really a wonderful experience 21 Degrees Estate is a family-owned boutique cacao farm and is located in Kahalu’u, on the beautiful windward side of Oahu. This area was known to Native Hawaiians as the “breadbasket of Oahu” with its rich and fertile lands, from the serene waters of Kaneohe Bay and rising to the breathtaking heights of the Ko’olau Mountains. 21 Degrees Estate strives to be “the most charming cacao farm in America,” with its spectacular vista and showcasing not only hundreds of cacao trees but also numerous examples of Hawaii’s We got opportunity to see and enjoy in water falls at the estate .It was pleasure to enter the water falling from the walls , remain in water and feeling fresh say after half an hour in cold water There were a number of beaches in Honolulu island Best Beaches in Honolulu • Sandy Beach. • Makapuʻu Beach. • Halona Beach Cove. • Halona Beach Cove. • Waikīkī Beach. • Waikīkī Beach. • Kūhiō Beach. • Waikīkī Wall. etc We had opportunity to visit a few beaches , enjoy walking through the beach sands , have good sun bath etc and enter water in the beach seeing the waves and tides coming towards land and passing through our feet when we were near the beach water In addition we had a few water pools with depth of maximum 6 feet near the estates where we stayed We could walk to the swimming pools , enter the pool, swim etc for half an hour on a few days There were very good arrangements provided at the swimming pools with depth We had thus a wonderful trip to Hawaii during November 2024 Aloha Hawaiian:[əˈlohə]) is the Hawaiian word for love, affection, peace, compassion and mercy, that is commonly used as a greeting.It has a deeper cultural and spiritual significance to native Hawaiians, for whom the term is used to define a force that holds together existence. We could see the Word Aloha in all places where tourists come in Hawaii  PS The univ of Hawaii developed a pioneering networking system called Alohanet (1971 or so).
