o    Dear Ekambaram Sir and all others who enjoyed Bihar and others who had heard of Bihar... I too had my share of precious posting in Bihar at some hardship centers...may be the hardship any I could encounter f with my determination. and the instantaneous support i Used to receive from the Management , members of staff at my Branches and the Association members occasionally plus the strength and power provided by my spouse who was with me there ...of course it was an experience for many young Officers from Southern states and Gujarat or Maharashtra etc to see Bihar the large geographical area with varied culture, potential, scope for financial development through Banking, It would be impossible for anybody in South India to imagine a place like Bihar with such gift of nature having tribal areas filed with thick forests, water flows and supply of water from Ganges, eternal supply of mineral products, etc from various places having the natural potential. It was perhaps the Bank’s policy to post different persons in proper places at Bihar based on requirements and a few of them got opportunities and occasions tio shine and other got chances to learn and make use of the experiences later in life. May be the Association or Mr Singh whose names were heard there could not do much for the ever increasing inflow of young officers coming from various states. With difference in Geographical locations , the vocational  advantage etc each place had its potential. A few of us were selected for such unbanked centers like Majhgaon Singhbhum Dist,, , Kuchai,,Singhbhum, cut off from the Regional Office or Area Office and our parent homes ...Tamilnadu,,, and the Branches grew themselves. Incidentally I may recollect. we got opportunities to be present for Mangers meet or conference at Jamshedpur periodically...where we had a good Madrasi Sammelani. You could get good Masala Dosai, Iyer meals, Maami Filter Coffee, etc the r mess or hotel was run by some Palghat people who are known for cooking. Also we could see an ocean of Tamilians, Malayalis etc coming there daily for some function, entertainment, etc, and to the nearby Ayyappa temple..So, visit to Jamshedpur occasionally was enjoyed being away from the rural unbanked centers for a few days... Anyway the efforts , attempts, accomplishments and desires of Mr Ekambaram were well recognized by the Bank and that he feels satisfied having spent a purposeful tenure and life in Bihar. I endorse all his views and would like to add that I learnt a lot from being in Bihar ..and of course breaking or bending rules are applicable anywhere in the world where any business thrives.Ofcourse it is true in Management circles rules are applied for certain cases but not strictly followed in the case of others. Mr. Ekambaram has set an example and eye-opener for the future generation of Bankers ...young and energetic..coming to Bihar on transfer from other states of India , and also to the local Bihar Officers posted there But I noticed a change recently when I went to one of the Branches in Chennai city I was told many persons from Bihar are posted in Tamilnadu, When I enquired about their feeling happy in Chennai the expression was not clear being just new to Chennai. I told one of the officers Chennai is a good place to live ,,but you may find the language Tamil or English difficult to learn for a little time and your type of food sukka rotti, , alu, piyaj, singada, etc on roadside also are available in many places in the City in addition to the South India specialties which you may taste and like. May be our conditions of life in Bihar with no electricity, communication through transport, Medical facilities, , were unique and things would have improved in those places,,,,and the persons posted in such hardship centers always dreamt of getting good postings in places like Ranchi, Patna etc..places which were recognized as good places those days..and however completed their term or tenure or experience in Bihar and came back successfully adding a title of Bihar returned along their names... which allowed them to face any type of situation anywhere in India, Mr. Ekambaram I have broken the rules of English language , Grammar ,etc by not making paragraphs, following Grammar , idiom, etc as this is written in a hurry to express my heartfelt feelings. Many others who were in the Area Office or Regional Office who are since in this group would perhaps agree with my spontaneous words expressed herein, Thank you Ekambaram DakshinaSir,,, I stay near your house in Chennai,,,Bye

Janaki Mani Too good. We are mistaken and quoted by colleagues as being emotional nuts but truth is being a lover of mankind and wanting to touch as many people as possible we tend to take such decisions.
